The village of Sineu still preserves to this day vestiges of its noble history.
A walk through the medieval streets of its historic quarter will show the visitor beautiful ancestral homes and interesting monuments. Perhaps the most remarkable building contained in the town's architectural legacy is the parish church of Santa María, which has a great belltower with seven levels, balconies, and is crowned by a pyramidal shape. Other remarkable constructions include Pontet de Santa Bàrbara, the Boundary Cross (Cruces del Término), the Conceptionist convent, built on top of an 8th-century Arab fortress, the convent of Sant Francesc, the hospital of Sineu, the Rectory, the square of Des Fossar, and finally the windmills, some of which are presently vacant, or used as storage. On the first Sunday of May, an agricultural show takes place, one of the most important in the island.
