Modernity and tradition come together in the streets of this seaside town.
Pontedeume is 36 kilometres from the city of La Coruña. Here you will find the atmosphere of a fishing village and a promenade that runs all along the estuary - just two of the village's attractions. The village also has interesting monuments (old palaces, churches and forts) which are well worth discovering. Special mention should be made of the Romanesque San Martín de Andrade and San Miguel de Breamo Churches (both 12th century), and especially of the Andrade Palace-Fortress. You should also visit Plaza del Conde square where you can see the Andrade Torre del homenaje (keep), the only remaining part of the old 14th century palace.
