Granada
Órgiva, the administrative and economic capital of the western side of the region of Alpujarra, has managed to combine in its urban development both a modern life style, and a rich historical heritage that reached our days almost intact.
A remarkable example is the church of Nuestra Señora de la Expectación, a 16th-century temple with two identical towers that can be seen from the distance; the palace of the Duke of Arco, from the 16th century, the palatial house of the counts of Sástago, and the remains of the Benisalfe windmills, from the 15th century.
