Córdoba
Montoro, declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1969, is located east of the province of Cordoba, in a place where the sierra, the river, and the farmlands meet.
The town is located on a small elevation, on the banks of the Guadalquivir river, which divides it in two. In addition to its beautiful natural surroundings, Montoro gathers several places of tourist interest, such as the bridge that crosses the river, and the church of San Bartolomé, both from the 15th century; the remains of the castle of Mota and the castle of Julia; its narrow streets lined with white houses; several different hermitages, and the tower of Villaverde, to name a few.
