Located halfway between the coast and the Sierra Espadán, La Vall d'Uxó boasts an interesting monumental heritage, divided between its two traditional nuclei. The caves of San José are another of its attractions.La Vall d'Uxó is located in the foothills of the Sierra Espadán, in a valley filled with citrus fruit trees and surrounded by coastal peaks.
Traditionally, the town has been divided into two nuclei: the upper neighbourhood, and the lower part or Poble de Baix. In the upper part, you can see places such as Plaza del Ángel and the parish church of Poble de Dalt, or walk the narrow streets of Arab origin in the L'Alcudia neighbourhood. The centre of Poble de Baix is in Plaza de Sant Vicent, and features a hermitage of the same name. Carrer Nou, the main artery of this nucleus, leads to other historical places, such as Plaza de la Asunción, with the church of Poble de Baix, and the historic Fuente de los Chorros. On the outskirts of the town you find the caves of San José, where you can enjoy a tour by boat and on foot inside the galleries.
