La Pobla de Segur is alongside the Noguera Pallaressa River and is one of the most historic villages in the Lleida Pyrenees. The streets of its medieval old town lead to two gates, Orteu and Parrau.
Calle Mayor is the most outstanding street, with old stately houses. Torre Mauri Tower is a modernist building, home to the Town Hall. Other places not to be missed: the Old Oil Mill, 1904; the Flour Mill; the Romanesque Shrine of Sant Miquel (12th century), famous for its traditional pilgrimage; the municipal park and the Bernadot nature area; La Figuereta Spring. Not forgetting Los Raiers Museum, of course, where you can see how wood was felled, cut and transported on the river, once a deep-rooted, traditional activity in the region.
