Arteixo

The beaches and thermal waters are the main attractions of this town.

Arteixo is located 15 kilometres from the city of A Coruña. It could be said that this coastal town is the perfect place for enjoying water. On the one hand there are its beaches: places like the small sandy beaches of Valcovo and Ucha, or the larger ones at Alba or Barragán, surrounded by dunes and open spaces. And then there are also the famous thermal waters. The health benefits of its salt, iodine and bromide-rich waters, which spring up at 25ºC-47ºC, have been recognised since 1760.
