La Gomera
Agulo is the smallest municipality in La Gomera. The municipality of Agulo is divided into two different areas: the lower area with the Lepe neighbourhood, and the upper area with the hamlets of Las Rosas, La Palmita, Meriga and Cruz de Tierno.
The town centre of Agulo, made up of the boroughs of El Charco, Las Casas and La Montañeta, features typical examples of local architecture. The Church of San Marcos and the Plaza de Leoncio Bento are worth a visit. The area surrounding Agulo has landscapes of stunning beauty, such as the Abrante viewpoint, the valley of Agulo and Meriga, in the La Palmita gorge.
