The Val d'Aran walking festival brings nature lovers and hikers from all over the world together to enjoy the mountains, the gastronomy and the culture of this particular region of the Catalan Pyrenees.
The Val d’Aran Walking Festival is celebrated during six days in the month of July. Five hiking activities are scheduled per day, with different routes, gradients and duration. A total of 30 routes are available, offering suitable alternatives for both amateur walkers and expert hikers. In addition to the guided walks, with which it is possible to discover the spectacular mountain landscapes of the Val d'Aran on foot, other complementary activities are organised which give you a wonderful chance to enjoy the area’s culture, heritage and gastronomy. Local cheese, cured meat and sausage tastings, visits to the valley's Romanesque churches or relaxing bathing in some thermal waters, are but a few examples.
