The Las Palmas International Film Festival has been held at different venues around the capital of the island of Gran Canaria.
The festival aims to cover the so-called peripheral film industries, in other words, productions from Asia, Latin America, Africa and Eastern European countries. Screenings can be viewed at different venues around the city such as the Monopol Multiplex, the La Caja de Canarias Savings Bank Initiatives Centre (CICCA) and the Guiniguada Theatre. Besides the official section, the programme includes several parallel sections.
