The Seville Cathedral hosts this celebration in which the traditional dance of the Seises is performed every year.
The day of the Immaculate Conception is commemorated in Seville with the dance of the seises. This is a religious ceremony dating back several centuries in which the seises (choir boys) dance in front of the cathedral's main altarpiece. This only takes place three times a year. Likewise, during the night before the celebration, songs are sung in honour of the Virgin in the Plaza de la Inmaculada. This act marks the beginning of the Octave of the Immaculate Conception, which extends the celebrations for the following eight days, during which the traditional dance of the Seises also takes place.
