Burgos Cidiano Weekend. The Return

The city of Burgos (Castile and Leon) transforms into an enormous medieval stage, dressed in flags and bunting, to pay homage to one of the most iconic heroes of Spanish history: El Cid Campeador.

The old town seems to go back to the 11th century and its streets are filled with animation, parades and battles organised by different associations and related to the Cid Campeador and the Middle Ages.With this cultural, tourist and gastronomic proposal, you can enjoy activities such as the Burgos Cidiano congress, musical and audiovisual shows, camps, souks and markets, historical re-enactments, historical sports battles, tournaments, parades, conferences and much more.Visitors can attend participatory workshops about, for example, textiles in the Middle Ages or exhibitions on inventions or medicine in the Middle Ages.The goal is for the whole family to enjoy this event.
