This year sees another edition of the Cycling Tour of Spain, one of the most important stage cycling races on the international calendar.

Participants in the event cover more than 3,200 kilometres divided into 21 stages - flat, against the clock, and mid- and high-mountain. The Tour of Spain passes through a host of towns around the country to finish in Madrid, on a city circuit between Paseo de la Castellana Avenue and Plaza de Cibeles Square. As is traditional, the last stage tends to become a kind of victory lap for the overall winner, with an exciting sprint to the finish.
