Athletics: Mediterranean Marathon

The town of Castelldefels in the province of Barcelona hosts this annual race the route for which runs for most part along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

The idea is to enjoy a day of athletics beside the sea and to enjoy the route, as in addition to the Mediterranean Marathon, there is also a Half Marathon and other popular races. The course is generally flat, and the start and finishing lines are at the Catalonia Olympic Channel in Castelldefels.
