This is the second of the three beaches which make up the most extensive area of sandy ground in all Cantabria. Its waves are much appreciated by surfers and there is a surf school on the beach. The beach has several infrastructures and services such as showers, a car park and a lifeguard. The lighthouse on Mauro island is opposite this beach. It also offers lovely views of the Magdalena Palace and the whole town of Santander. The village is noteworthy for the number of ceramics workshops there.
