Beach: Cala Turqueta
This is one of the most popular beaches on the island of Minorca. Just 10 kilometres from Ciutadella and hidden amongst pine trees, it is one of the best coves on the island to relax and enjoy the turquoise waters. One of the most curious things about this cove is its name. It was called "Turqueta" because it used to be attacked by Turkish pirates. It is full of thick pine forests, which make up the typical coastal landscape of Minorca. It has fine white sand and crystal-clear waters, so it is perfect for swimming and diving.
